This picture was taken in Aston on Clun Village Hall at the showing, via satellite, of the play

"Travelling Light" performed at the National Theatre in London

with Anthony Sher in the lead role.  Over 60 people saw the play and in the picture the audience relaxes in the interval with wine and soft drinks.

Shropshire Village Halls Quiz

The Village Hall Quiz Team have now completed their first year in the 1st Division of the Shropshire wide league and performed creditably to finish in 11th position out of a total of 22 competitors. Unlike the majority of teams, the Aston Team is chosen, month by month, from a pool of 9 regulars so that where possible each pool member gets an opportunity to compete.  Further details about the competition are available from Jeff Else, 01588 660893
