Bayston Hill Parish Council has been awarded a contract to improve the facilities at the Pavilion sports complex within the village. The contract involves the re-surfacing of one of the three existing tennis courts with a new tarmac surface, whilst the other two tennis courts are being converted to a new 5 a side synthetic grass football court.
The opening of this facility will be on Tuesday 29 July at 2.30pm at the Sports Pavilion in Lythwood Road in the area of the new 5 a side facility.
The Council has already had several expressions of interest in using this new facility for both training and 5 a side, anyone interested in hiring either the tennis court or the synthetic surface should contact the Parish Clerk, Anne Chalkley, on 01743 874651.
The Parish Council would also like to thank SABC for their grant of £40,000 towards the project.
