What is a Parish Council

The Parish Council has recently been asked by a number of residents what its purpose is and how it is governed. Because its ultimate purpose is to represent the majorities view in the parish and is funded through local taxes paid by you, it is your right to know.  In order to find out more about us and our duties and functions and how what we do will affect you personally, please download and read the following attachment, you may even wish to get involved with us and what is happening in your local community!

Following recent events where residents have complained about the decision making process of the Council and way in which council meetings have been run. The Parish Council would like to refer you to the governance document of the Council; its Standing Orders: CPC Standing Orders (484.33KB) 

These have been adopted by the Council and are based on thoses recommended by the National Association of Local Councils.
