Since it is circular, you can start from anywhere! Dorrington and Ryton village hall are suggested start points however.

With a small amount of road walking, you can complete an interesting loop from Dorrington to Little Ryton. The path links to Dorrington via the newly cleared path by the railway bridge and also at the bottom of bank drive.
