Minutes  of the Parish Council Meeting held at Coreley Village Hall on Wednesday, 21st July  2010 commencing at 7.00 p.m.

1.         PRESENT

2.         APOLOGIES

3.         TO APPROVE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS

The minutes of the meeting held on 23rd June 2010 were approved and  signed as a correct record. 

4.        DECLARATION OF INTERESTS

            None

5.         MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

             a)        Footpaths - The Clerk get archived info from SC

             b)        Village hall signs in progress.  The  Quote is for £355 plus vat.  Community        Chest Application form to be completed.

            c)         RSPCA  have been seen to be dumping foxes on the common.  

                        The Clerk to find  out why.

            d)         Play Area - Awaiting information from STWA.

            e)         Benches have now been erected, one at the Village Hall  and

                        one at the cockpits.

            f)          Highway Maintenance Grant - Cutting and cleaning road signs,

                        minor ditch work eg to find drains, cut around notice boards.

  6.         PARISH MATTERS

            a)  Grass cutting of verges over the last two years has got increasing

                  worse, and certain areas not done at all, eg.New  Barns Lane.

            b)   At a request Get in touch with RHA on behalf of Mrs E weaver 1  

                 Corenelie close, worried about  a branch falling on her property.

                 Mr P. Brown The Willows farm is willing for them to contact.

7.         REPORT FROM LJC

                 At the meeting on the 8th July it was suggested £250 to be set aside

                for Speed measures.  SC medium Term Financial plan was   

                discussed.  36K has been allocated to Cleobury  L J C £7619 to

                allocate from last year.  Community Chest still to operate , 

                Community Chest up to 50% of total projects costs to max grant of

                £500.  £15K ring  fenced to operate a larger grant pot for grants up

                to 70% of total  project costs to a max grant of  £2500. The

                remaining £23619 to be  retained to be allocated depending on the

                priorities set by the Committee at the future meeting.   Public

                meetings at 7.00 on 28th  July, at Cleeton  St Mary,  21st oct,  at

                Coreley,   and 17th feb,  at Lacon Childe School.

            None

9.         REPORT FROM VILLAGE HALL COMMIITEE

            Nothing

11.       CORRESPONDENCE

a)    SC -  Winter Service write to ask for more grit bins, what route is

       done in Coreley so we can decide what area need them the most,

       both  by big gritters and small contractors.

b)    SC Consultation on Draft Parking Strategy

There being no other business, the meeting closed at  9.10p.m.  The next meeting will be on the  22nd  September, 2010 at 7.00 pm.
