Christmas 2010

What a beautiful day! After such a long cold spell it was only fitting that Christmas Day dawned to a clear sky and a temperature hovering around -10 degrees. The snow that had fallen a couple of days before was dry and powdery just like Scandinavia! Perfect for toboganing for all those who struggled to the slope from the summit down to the stile.

The clarity of the air meant that visibility was exceptional . The Arrans out to the west and the steam from the Runcorn works to the north were clearly visible. The sound of the bells from Pontesbury church added to the peace of the morning.

It seems that Bob Crowther and his dog, Shelley, was first to sign my card at 8-30 (he must have wound the sun up!) I am sure that Steve, Tom and Izzy weren't far behind.

Loads of dogs as always (would we all stay in bed if it weren't for our dogs!). The Mad Springers, Spud, Gromit, and the Moss dalmations to name but a few.

The Cases, Pattons and Watsons claim to have seen "the camels and the kings"! I would like to know what was in their Christmas drinks!

Al in all a brilliant day and thanks to everyone who signed my card and took a photo. See you all next year if my ageing body will get me up there! Photos will follow in a few days.

Love
