About us

Great Hanwood Parish Council is the local Council serving Hanwood, Edgebold and Nobold. It has 8 Councillors at present and 1 vacancy.  The Annual Precept (annual budget) will be £15,000 for the year April 2011 - March 2012. From this sum the Council provides street lighting services and a children's play area. It also provides grants to local organisations and comments on local planning applications. The Council meets at least 8 times each year and actively encourages the attendance and participation of local residents.
