WELL DONE TO GERRY CARRUTHERS FOR BECOMING HINSTOCK'S SMUG GIT OF THE MONTH AND TO KEITH FOR ENCOURAGING HIM !!!After a pretty uneventful month there's lots coming up to look forward to.
After the fun of the Halloween night next up is bonfire night. If Ben and myself get organised there will be a firework display to end all firework displays. Of course that's on November 5th. Later on in the month on the 19th our new chef Tammy Jones (welcome by the way) will be hosting a Jamaican night in our restaurant. This will comprise a four course authentic Jamaican feast. Tammy is of Jamaica origin and has acquired lots of mouth watering recipes from her grandparents and is set to wow us all. Do ask at the pub for further details and bookings.
Also this month sees the start of our display of Jeff Lomas Raku Pottery. It will be on display throughout the pub until early 2010. Take a look at his new website to see what's in store www.jefflomasrakupottery.com
On the same note, we need a name for the new rocking horse. All entries to Ben. The winner gets a free ride. Females only please. (over 16)
Christmas is coming !. The menus are out and the bookings are coming in fast. Pop in and take a menu. The Christmas Fair is also becoming quite exciting with carol singers confirmed and craft stalls sorted for the market marquee. There also might be a very special treat. Watch this space.
Hope to see you all in next week sampling our new winter menu which started on the 30th October. We now always have a stew pot on the bar for those of you who need feeding on a Sunday nights.
