New Season - New Players
With the autumn equinox now past, the snooker season starts again. Membership is from 1st October, please see contact details below if you would like to join.
We have players of all standards and are completely non-discriminating on grounds of age, sex, race, ability with a cue, income, lager-swilling ability or any of the ways that the Ministry of Information might deem legal or illegal.
At the AGM in September, key points were:-
· Membership has recovered in the year from 10 to 27, including several junior members
· Pool and snooker appear equally popular
· Finances improved by joining forces with the Hall on oil utilities and insurance
· Club night confirmed as every Thursday
· Membership is from 1st October. £20 for Adults, £10 for juniors.
In August there was a very successful Pool demonstration by the 2008 World Masters champion, yes, really! This was Mick Hill, who took on about 50 local players, who were mostly given a bit of a chance before the inevitable demolition. Two actually won against him.
