Arbor Day

The Arbor Tree Festival takes place at 1.30pm on Sunday 27th May 2012 in the village of Aston on Clun in South Shropshire.

Each year, at the famous Arbor Tree, a black poplar tree, the village of Aston on Clun celebrates Arbor Day, with a children's pageant remembering the 1786 wedding of a local squire.  There was mixed Morris Dancing at the Tree, the Children's Wedding Pageant and Arbor Tree Ceremony.  Then back to the Village Hall, for refreshments and a Circus Workshop for the children.
