Lyneal Wharf is situated three miles from Ellesmere in Shropshire, between Ellesmere and Whitchurch, on the Llangollen canal. The post code is SY12 0LQ

FROM SHREWSBURY

  • Take the A528 following signs towards Ellesmere.
  • As you approach Ellesmere take the A495 on the right, signposted Whitchurch.
  • Just over 1 mile along this road as you enter Newton (the first village), turn right into a very narrow country lane, signposted Lyneal Wharf.

FROM ELLESMERE

  • Take the A528 signposted Shrewsbury.
  • About 1 mile from Ellesmere take the A495 on the left, signposted Whitchurch.
  • Just over 1 mile along this road as you enter Newton (the first village), turn right into a very narrow country lane, signposted Lyneal Wharf.

FROM WHITCHURCH

  • Take the A495 signposted Ellesmere.
  • One mile past Welshampton, turn left into a narrow lane signposted Lyneal Wharf 

then

  • DRIVE VERY SLOWLY as you follow the lane for 1½ miles,  over the crossroads and finally over the canal bridge.
  • Lyneal Wharf is just over the bridge on the left.
  • Unload your passengers (you may use the drive of Lyneal Wharf), then park in the car-park opposite.
