MONTFORD PARISH MILLENNIUM GREEN

Montford Parish Millennium Green.  The site covers 7.5 acres and is the recreation area of the Parish community, and general public.  Location:  the village of Shrawardine, Nr Shrewsbury, Shropshire.  Its main feature are the ruins of Castle Isabelle.  The area is ideal for school visits, also for relaxation.  Short history of the site can be found at the main entrance in the village.  Parking spaces should be available by the telephone box (yes a red one) opposite the village Church.  The Green is adjacent to the Severn Way and National cycle route 81.  Dogs on leads when sheep grazing.  Also  take your rubbish home with you, this includes any your dog may have deposited. It would be possible for groups to have a guided  walk of the site.  A reasonable charge would be made. Proceeds being used for the upkeep of the site.  This is an English Heritage site.
