Welcome
Norbury & District WI was formed in 1954 by ladies who lived in and around our widely spread scattered community: Norbury, Ratlinghope, Wentnor, Asterton, Medlicott, The Bog, are a few names that spring to mind. To pinpoint any single location would be hard to do. However, Norbury Village Hall is our local meeting place and serves our community well.
At present we have 37 members, one being a dual member with another WI. We always give our visitors a warm welcome and hope that they too will become members. If you are new to our area it is a good way to make friends and take part in community activities.
We meet on the second Thursday of each month and offer friendship and fellowship, this being the key to our success that make up Norbury & District WI. Each meeting we have an interesting speaker followed by a delicious supper provided by members on a rota basis.
This year we are having a day out at the International Llangollen Eisteddfod and our Annual dinner which partners are invited to will be at 'The Inn on the Green'.
Also, Norbury & District WI participates in the Shropshire Federation Events which include Skittles and Darts and if we can get tickets County Lunch and the Annual Dinner.
