Roads
Background/Evidence
Pre-questionnaire research identified road conditions as a major cause for concern More
than 2/3rds of Respondents rated surface maintenance, drainage, hedgerow trimming and passing places as important. The condition of the road between Criftin & Eaton and safety outside the school were the most commonly identified areas for improvement.
More people cycle than use public transport. Bishops Castle is the most commonly visited destination. Responses from households with members aged under 17 suggest a need for independent transport for them to attend school/leisure facilities.
Objective
Influence the County Council's annual road works programme to reflect better the
community's priorities for improving the area's roads.
