Getting connected - Can we help?

Around 70% of homes in the UK have access to the Internet. However we know that amongst people over 65 only 40% use the Internet.

We also know that the percentage of Internet use amongst disabled people is less than in the general population.

Whilst the Shropshire Cares Info Central site serves the whole population in the county of Shropshire  we feel bad that some folk are left behind in the information revolution.

We think that things need to happen to make sure everyone who wants to can use the Shropshire Cares Info Central site facilities.

So what can we do?

1.       If you are helping some one who does not have home access to the Internet and they are willing to give it a go please let us know and we will work with you and them to jack up some kit (probably second hand) and some training - no promises but we will do our best to help.

2.       If you have up graded your computer and your old one is in working order please think about letting it go to some one who does not have one. Please contact us if you are prepared to give your old computer to some one in need.
