Safer Communities

In January 2009 the Safer Communities Team became part of the Shropshire Partnership. Therefore, the Shropshire Partnership now leads work locally on community safety and the national drug and alcohol strategy.

The Shropshire Partnership works with partners to deliver services which help create safer and healthier communities within Shropshire. Our partners include:

• West Mercia Police
• Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service
• West Mercia Probation
• Social landlords
• Youth Offending Service

The Shropshire Partnership also supports the work of Shropshire's Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, known locally as the Safer Stronger Communities Partnership.
