Raising 21K (we've managed a bit more than that! Please see announcement page)

The aim of The 21Kay Appeal

The 21Kay Appeal has been established to raise £21,000 in recognition of the 21 years of care I have received and continue to receive within the NHS system.

The money raised will go towards diagnostic equipment for the detection of bowel cancer and other serious bowel conditions for the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust Please see our home page for details of the diagnostic equipment we are raising funds to help secure.

We have a wide variety of fundraising activities and events taking place over a 12 month period in all the different areas of England I have lived in.  Some events are organised events we are entering a team in, many others are events and activities which friends and family have organised.  Some of the fundraisers I haven't met until the day of an event, they wanted to help when they heard about the appeal and decided they would like to join in with FUNdraising.

I am grateful for the life I have been given and as a tribute to the many talented Surgeons, doctors and Nurses and to show support to the system which helps me and helps all those facing ill health, to give something back to our health system will be a dream come true.  By giving our time and effort and hard earned cash today to help make someone else's day better tomorrow.  If you would like to read more about what brought about the appeal please go to 'Why The 21Kay Appeal?'
