Forums of Interest

Forums of Interest continue to be established within the Voluntary and Community Sector to enable VCS organisations with a common interest to share information. Forums of Interest may be formed of groups and organisations:

• delivering similar activities/sharing similar objectives
• providing common types of service
• targeting similar client groups

Each Forum of Interest has a representative on the VCS Assembly Board. Examples of Forums of Interest include:

• Community Based Transport Forum
• Shropshire Infrastructure Partnership
• VCS Training Providers Consortium
• The Children and Young People's Summit
• Disability Forum
• Visual Impairment Forum
• Voluntary Sector Mental Health Forum
• Voluntary Sector Health and Social Care Forum
• Visual Arts Network

Interest has been shown in developing other Forums of Interest such as an Interfaith Forum, an Environmental Forum, a Waste snd Recycling Forum and a Heritage Forum. If you would be interested in finding out more about the Forums of Interest contact the Assembly Coordinator on 01743 252295.
