The Council and Councillors

The number of members serving on a Council is determined by Shropshire Council.  Elections are held every 4 years and normally take place on the first Thursday of May.  If there is a resignation during the 4 year period a Council may, subject to certain legal procedures, fill the vacancy by co-option.
