Shifnal is embarking on perhaps one of the most significant periods of development in its history having been presented with an opportunity to shape and influence the future social and economic development of our town through the Site Allocations and Management of Development (SAMDev) initiative. 

Shropshire Council has been talking to town and parish councils and communities for the past couple of years about the future of their areas, and which sites should be proposed for development. The Council has now produced its preferred options for development in the SAMDev document for Shifnal which is open for consultation.  This is the opportunity for everyone in the community to have their say on proposals and to help shape their area.

The consultation period runs until 12pm on Friday 20th July 2012

How to Join In the Consultation

Shropshire Council is not intending to produce paper copies of either the SAMDev documents or the questionnaires because of the high cost involved, but all comments made will be accepted.  To ensure the consultation is as efficient as possible, and to make the best use of Council resources, people are encouraged to use the online questionnaires available on Shropshire's website when responding.

SAMDV Plan Preferred Options - March 2012

A public meeting to consult on the Site Allocations and Management of Development (SAMDev) Document for Shifnal will take place at Shifnal Village Hall, on Tuesday, 22nd May 2012.  This drop-in session will run from 5.30pm to 7pm.  Don't miss this opportunity to have your say on future development in Shifnal.
