Parish Council of Sutton-upon-Tern

The Parish Council of Sutton-upon-Tern serves a rural, mainly farming community.It is a wide ranging parish, encompassing Sutton, Woodseaves, Buntingsdale and closer to Market Drayton, Tyrley and Pell Wall.

The remains of Pell Wall Hall still stand in its own pcturesque grounds. The villa was designed by Sir John Soane and is a fine example of his work. The building is now subject to various planning applications in an attempt to restore it to its former glory.
