Wroxeter & Uppington
The Parish consists of the villages of Wroxeter and Uppington, plus the hamlets of Rushton, Charlton Hill, Donnington, Eyton and Dryton. The Atcham Industrial Estate, located 4 kms north east of Atcham, is also within the Parish. The Parish lies mainly between the River Severn and the old A5 and stretches from Atcham to the Wrekin.
Wroxeter is the largest settlement and contains a scheduled monument under the control of English Heritage, which attracts a considerable number of tourists. Virtually no residential development has taken place in recent years and the Parish Council believes there is little scope for further housing, apart from the possible conversion of suitable redundant farm buildings. None of the villages has any local services.
It has been proposed in the past that Uppington should have Conservation Area status but this has been ruled out by local residents.
